We've been drawing a lot lately. This last week it really started to warm up...triple digits, so we're back to indoor fun for quite a while.

So I picked up a coffee table for your bedroom. It's where we do most of our coloring. It's the right height for you to stand and me to sit. You're too sophisticated for kiddie furniture :) Your crib is now a daybed that we use as a couch, so a coffee table in front of it makes perfect sense, right? It's actually where I'm typing this from (you're asleep in the office/guest room right across the hall).

This afternoon we took a break from standard coloring books and used the plain white sketch pad paper we normally use for making personalized birthday cards and nametags for your friends gifts.

You selected a black crayon and marked up a bold statement on the paper, then moved on to another paper while choosing a new color from your 'cams' (crayons). It looked like a flower on a stem to me, so I started to color in the petals and leaves and noticed the figure to the left resembled a butterfly. I colored in the wings and used my artistic license to add two brown antennae to bring it to life. The end result was picture worthy. I'm calling it Butterfly with Flower, officially.

We've done this before, but not on a blank paper, so this time the image is much more clear. I'm going to start photographing and scanning your artwork. Eventually I will designate the picture ledges in the dining room to a gallery just for you. As for today's masterpiece, I think I'lll crop it and frame it to display.

P.S. While I was typing this I heard you say in your sleep "No diapew." (that's how you say diaper). You haven't worn a diap for a couple days now and Daddy tried to put one on you earlier tonight. I'm guessing that's what you were dreaming of.

Modeling

Last week Park Avenue Photography photographed you modeling hair accessories for Peyton's Place Boutique.

This shot is one of the play shots taken after the 'real work' was done. You had a BLAST being photographed, and just plain being the center of attention (not surprising). I had equally as much fun being a 'stage mom' and encouraging/egging you on. Watching you so giddy was a riot!

The dress you're wearing here was a birthday gift from your friend Chloe and her mom Robyn. Before they moved out of town, Robyn and her husband Steve both photographed you many a time, and often encouraged me to get you into baby modeling. So it's fitting their dress was used for some of the shots!

For your first time modeling, I'm amazed at how well you cooperated and knew to look at the camera and smile. Actually, the photographer was amazed at your 'natural talent', too.

This is what Holly, the photographer said about your shoot:

I just photographed a natural supermodel! Miss T is only 15 months, never been in a professional shoot before, but OMG, she knew exactly what to do! One minute she was oo-ing and awe-ing over the bubbles mom was blowing, and then she'd look right into my camera lense, pause, do a little head tilt, and smile. Amazing! It was such a pleasure photographing her and hanging out with her cool mama! Luv ya Diva T!
